Chris Russell is our High Performance Director and Team Manager at WOW.

He helps us coordinate everything both on and off the water, ensuring we continue to perform at our best.

HENRY BLOODWORTH
head coach

My name is Henry Bloodworth and I'm the WOW head coach. Until recently I was also competing in the iQ Foil Class and I've been a part of windfoiling since it first started to surface as a racing class in 2018.

Due to the racing experience I've collected in the past 15 years I'm looking forward to passing on my knowledge to Elena and Helle and help them unlock their potential over the course of their Olympic Campaigns.

KRISTIAN OPPEDAL

My name is Kristian Oppedal. I am Helle and Tuvas dad and overview coach. I am educated through the Norwegian sailing federation and have a level 3 trainer education. I also serve as the team physician for the Norwegian sailing team. My goal is to contribute to unlock the potential of the WOW team by beeing accessible and reliable, providing value at the right time.

TEAM WORK

The coach/athlete relationship is vital to success. Finding the right balance can be tricky.

By surrounding ourselves with professionals we have not only been able to progress on the water but we are able to optimise procedures, innovate in the right areas, and continue to nurture corporate culture which has brought the team even closer together.

The high-performance environment can be stressful. With experience, and time, we learn how to navigate the pitfalls. We recognise that we are not experts at everything, and the importance of hiring people better than you.

We´re reminded everyday to surround ourselves by people who not only empower, but can inspire us to reach new heights.
